People
Noel Corkery
Noel Corkery (MLA, MBA, B Sc.) is Managing Director of Corkery Consulting and
a Registered Landscape Architect with qualifications and experience in landscape
architecture, business administration and forestry, both in Australia and overseas.
Noel brings to projects the experience gained through the management of numerous
large scale environmental and site planning projects over a period of more than
30 years. His combination of professional qualifications and project experience
allow him to understand and manage the individual roles of inter-disciplinary
team members. Projects have involved comprehensive site suitability analysis,
environmental impact assessment, master planning and detailed design and implementation
of landscape works for urban development, infrastructure, open space and recreation.
Noel is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects (AILA) and
past National President of AILA.
Linda Corkery
Linda Corkery (MLA, MRP, B Sc.) is a Director of Corkery Consulting and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of the Built Environment at UNSW where she teaches in the Landscape Program. Linda provides specialist consulting skills in public open space planning and children”s play environments. Her experience includes preparation of discussion papers and published articles addressing issues of planning, management and use of open space and parklands. This coincides with her research focus on the role of public open space and parklands as key components of urban infrastructure, community health, and well being. Linda is a member of AILA and the American Society of Landscape Architects.
Ian Andrews
Ian Andrews (B.A. Urban/Regional Geography & Sociology) is a Senior Consultant
to Corkery Consulting and a qualified Strategic and Statutory Planner. Ian
has more than 30 years experience in strategic and statutory planning, urban
design and project management in private consultancies and public agencies
in Australia and various Asian countries including Hong Kong, China and Brunei.
Ian has been responsible for the establishment, marketing and management of
private planning consultancies, and held senior positions in government agencies
both in Australia and overseas. He undertakes strategic planning of large scale
urban development projects including new towns and major estates. Ian brings
to projects a rare combination of creative master planning skills and experience
as well as a thorough understanding of urban development in the context of
statutory planning and development economics as well as physical and social
infrastructure. Ian is a member of the Planning Institute of Australia.
Terry Boyle
Terry Boyle (BLA, ADL, Hort. Cert.) is a Registered Landscape Architectt with extensive experience in a range of landscape projects that include site assessment, visual impact assessment, design and documentation for infrastructure, open space projects, rehabilitated sites and residential developments.
Terry brings to projects a high level of expertise in plant material and planting
design. She has extensive knowledge in horticulture with more than 15 years
experience, including working in the nursery industry primarily managing plant
propagation of native species. Terry”s experience has included tree assessments,
landscape audits and the development of an interactive database for Sydney
Water that includes 1000 plant species suitable for the Sydney Region.
